What Girl Scouting gives GIRLS!
Ask a girl and she will tell you Girl Scouting is full of fun and adventure, making friends, doing things and going places. She won’t tell you she joins the Girl Scouts for character development or values definition. But, in fact, Girl Scouting offers both.
Activities she enjoys lead to the growth and learning she needs for successful adulthood. Qualities of personality and character emerge as she experiences a variety of activities with a small group of girls near her own age, guided by a caring adult leader who is her friend and advisor. And, all the time, she will be creating happy memories to cherish throughout her life. We invite your daughter to join the largest organization for girls in the United States and the world.
Girl Scouting
Takes place in troops where girls meet with their leaders and take part in activities. Troops set their own schedule of meetings and meet in public places.
Girls can participate in many Girl Scout activities, including camp with out joining a troop. These girls are known as Juliettes.
Girl Scouts of the Calumet Council also sponsors an array of group and special interest activities open to all girls in the Calumet Council.
