Troop Spring Product Sale Chairs:
Thank you for volunteering to serve as your Troop's Spring Product Sale Chairs. You are extremely important to the success of the Spring Product Sale Program.
The Spring Product Sale Program begins on Friday, February 8 and ends on Thursday, February 21. Be sure to give the girls the full length of the sale to reach their goals.
Be sure that your Troop Leader knows that the Spring Product Sale Program Packet must go home with every girl. Participation decision is a parents one.
Plan a meeting to prepare girls for the sale. Invite their parents or guardians. If you are enthusiastic about the program, the girls will be too! Review the products available and sales and safety tips. Remember to encourage girls to complete the Step 2 booklet and to track the addresses in order to complete the Address Adventure Patch Program. Review with girls, leaders and parents how to correctly fill out order forms and remind them to collect money at the time of the order. And don't forget the RECOGNITIONS!
Troop/Groups receive 15% of all sales, $2.00 for each completed Step 2 booklet, and $2.00 for each Netiquette Program Completed. If your troop sells over $350 or more you will receive 20% of all sales. Remember to retain this amount when completing paperwork. (If the Troop proceeds are not retained immediately from sales proceeds, checks will be issued in mid March.)
Goal Setting and the entrepreneurial spirit is key to the Spring Product Sale Program. Either you or the Troop Leader should engage the girls in creating a business plan and setting goals.
