Munster Mints Service Unit

Spotlight This month we’d like to recognize all three Munster Mints Service Unit Coordinators: Martha L, Wanda R and Tresa R.

Martha is Munster’s General Administrative Coordinator. Munster’s meetings are very efficient and informative. Leaders are able to provide input about upcoming events, as well as receive the latest Council and SU updates. Meeting attendance is steady and representative of most troops.

Wanda serves as the Munster Mints Program Coordinator. Munster has enjoyed a full calendar for their girls for many years, and their programs are well planned and attended.

Tresa returned as a Munster volunteer this year as their Membership Coordinator. As a result, Munster is at 95% of their membership goal! Tresa and all the Munster Recruiters work very diligently at recruiting new volunteers and placing girls in troops.

Munster Mints Service Unit

Spotlight Patti has been going beyond the norm for over 30 years in Girl Scouting. Patti has held several positions within the Service Unit. And she has been Munster Mints Product Sale Chair for over five years. She went out of her way this past Cookie Sale Program when she took a day off of work to help at this year’s cookie delivery. Even with the terrible weather we had for our cookie delivery Patti was outside in the cold and rain from start to finish, helping with all the aspects of the delivery.

Patti is a great asset to both Munster Mints Service Unit and to Calumet Council. She definitely goes above and beyond. We could’t have made it through the delivery without her great assistance.

Now that’s going above and beyond her normal Girl Scout duties! Not only was she “Caught in the Act of doing something Wonderful” she is our Volunteer in the Spotlight for the month of November.
