Jurisdiction of Service

We serve Girl Scouts in 9 Indiana communities and 4 Illinois communities. Click on your community to see your Service Unit's information.

In order to better serve girls and adult, we have restructured the Service Units. Some communities joined forces while others remained the same, all to become one stronger team.

For Volunteers

Q.How does this affect me?

A. A Service Unit is designed to have adult volunteers in various positions to maximize the delivery of Girl Program and Adult support. Depending on your location you might have merged with another Service Unit to strengthen this delivery system.

For Parents and Girls

Q.How does this affect me?

A. Your daughter will not change troops because of the restructuring. This change is an administrative change to assure that your daughter receives the best possible Girl Scout experience within her community.

If you have any questions about the restructuring, please contact the Service Center by phone at (219) 795-3900, or by email.

As One Trail Ends, a New Mix Begins

Dyer Adventurers first welcomed me 20 years ago,
I had 23 Brownies & their smiles did glow!
I moved to St. John and started once more
This time I had Juniors and made new friends galore!

I watched as that troop earned their Silver and Gold,
The joys of being their leader continue to unfold.
I’ve seen that troop grow, go to college and wed
I’m so proud of them and what they have ahead.

I took on a Daisy troop and still advise them today.
They’ve earned their Bronze and Silver – they’re on their way!
Soon they’ll be Seniors and go for the Gold,
They’re becoming young women, both lovely and bold.

What my girls do not see – and it’s so clear to me
Is that I have blossomed as I led them, you see.
I’ve become strong and sure as I helped them to grow,
I’m a better woman for having known them, I know.

I also have learned from so many, so dear
My friends in Trails End have made it so clear.
A special bond can be formed when we all work together
And friendships formed here shall never be severed.

Now we must look to the future and the changes in view,
We should embrace our new sisters and forge on anew.
I left Dyer Adventurers and joined Trails End,
Now I look forward to this new Trail Mix blend.

We have much offer and much more to share
Let’s work together and show that we care!
Let’s make an effort; let’s welcome new friends,
We’ll share that spirit that says “Trails End!”
